Seven solo categories for classical guitarists: six age categories and one category with no age restrictions. The programme is performed from memory; the exact requirements, duration, and prizes are provided in the regulations for each category.
Who it is for: Individual classical guitarists who meet the age requirements for their chosen category. Category 4 has no age restrictions and is held in two rounds.

Regulation
Participation in more than one section
Each participant may enter the classical guitar solo competition in only one age category for which they meet the eligibility requirements. Entry in two or more solo age categories is not permitted. The same participant may also take part as a member of a chamber group, guitar ensemble, or orchestra, provided they meet the relevant requirements.
